To Students - Code of Conduct & Expectations

At Mountain View Academy, every student is expected to uphold the highest standards of discipline, responsibility, cleanliness, and respect both within and outside the school campus. The following guidelines are designed to help students grow into responsible, ethical, and successful individuals.

Responsibility for Possessions
  • Each student is responsible for safeguarding their own books, stationery, bags, lunch carriers, and water bottles.
  • Efforts will be made by the school to prevent loss, but the ultimate responsibility lies with the student.
Personal Belongings
  • Students are strongly advised not to bring valuables such as gold ornaments, expensive gadgets, or large amounts of money to school.
  • The school will not be held responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of personal items.
Private Tuition

Seeking private tuition from school teachers requires the prior written permission of the Principal. Unauthorized arrangements are strictly prohibited.

Conduct Outside School

Students are representatives of the school even outside campus. Any misbehavior in public places, on the way to or from school, or in uniform, will invite strict disciplinary action.

Health & Hygiene

Students suffering from contagious or infectious diseases must not attend school until fully recovered and medically cleared.

Punctuality & Attendance

Regular late-coming, frequent absenteeism, and carelessness in dress and conduct will be viewed seriously and recorded.

Disciplinary Violations

Disrespect, disobedience, or any serious breach of discipline towards staff or peers—inside or outside the campus—will be dealt with firmly and seriously.

Gifts to Staff

Students are not permitted to offer gifts to teachers or school staff. Appreciation may be shown through good behavior and academic performance.

Personal Cleanliness

Students must maintain cleanliness and hygiene in their dress, appearance, and belongings. Torn, dirty, or unkempt uniforms will not be tolerated.

Promotion Criteria

Promotion is based on attendance, academic performance, and active participation in all assessments including monthly tests and terminal exams.

School Handbook

Every student must bring their School Handbook daily and keep it updated. It is a vital communication tool between school and home.

Physical Violence

Acts of physical aggression or bullying, whether inside or outside the campus, will result in strict disciplinary action, including suspension or expulsion.

English-Speaking Environment

To improve communication skills, students are expected to speak only in English within the school campus.

Hair Grooming (Boys)

Boys must maintain neatly trimmed haircuts. Long or unkempt hair will not be permitted.

Lunch Etiquette

Students bringing lunch should carry hand towels, napkins, and table mats to keep their eating area clean.

Table Manners

Good table manners must be observed during lunch. Students must avoid spilling, littering, or wasting food.

Drinking Water

While the school provides clean drinking water, students are encouraged to carry their own water bottles for personal use.

Theft & Misappropriation

Any student found in possession of another student’s belongings without permission will face immediate suspension.

Care for School Property
  • Any damage caused to school property including buildings, furniture, classroom materials, library books, sports equipment, etc., must be reported immediately.
  • The cost of repairs or replacement will be charged to the student at the discretion of the Principal.

These rules are in place to promote a safe, respectful, and progressive learning environment. Students must abide by them at all times, and violations will be addressed according to the school’s discipline policy.
